Exciting opportunity for an eighth BC/BE neonatologist to join our top-notch group of neonatologists and nine NNPs practicing at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina. Palmetto Health Richland is the teaching hospital of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and offers a great opportunity to provide teaching to pediatric residents and medical students and to do clinical research. The hospital is a regional perinatal center covering 16 counties of the midlands of South Carolina in addition to serving the upstate and PeeDee for ECMO and the PeeDee for pediatric surgery. Total in-house deliveries are 2,400 annually with 800+ admissions to the NICU (high percentage of VLBW infants). Our 70-bed Level-III NICU runs at an average daily census of 62 neonates and an average length of stay of 23 days. Services provided include conventional and high frequency ventilation, PDA ligation, nitric oxide, ECMO, and a very active brain cooling program. The group provides in-house coverage and has access to full pediatric subspecialty support. In addition, our group covers a 20-bed Level-II NICU at another hospital.
