Role Profile
Based in Belview in South Kilkenny the role reports to the Production Manager. The role has responsibility for the efficient planning, implementation and control of the manufacturing schedule and processes delivering Infant Formula grade products to the highest quality standard

Key Responsibilities
Manages all shift production resources, ensure plant is properly resourced to deliver on agreed KPIs
Manages delivery of all process requirements as outlined to deliver milk and product commitments
Embed 3M process in the operations team
Owner of all work systems, including management of annualised hours
Responsible for performance management within the Operations Team
Accountable for training of PS roles, works with the Training Co-Ordinator to determine the training requirements for the production team
Primary escalation point for all personnel issues within the ops team
Manage production facing contractors on day to day basis
Responsible for embedding values and behaviours amongst operation team
Develop a culture of coaching and regular feedback with all direct reports. Ensure all team members have measurable KPIs and provide them with regular, timely feedback on their performance
Implement a learning and development programme for all direct reports and ensure it is captured with PDP process
Ensure succession planning is in place for Team Lead and Training
Production representative on site change control committee
Responsible for standard work for each of the production roles. From this point, the Ops RM is the owner of these roles & ensures that all changes made across the site consider the impact on production specialists standard work
Introduction & integration of new systems and processes into the production environment
Ensure delivery of all cover and on call systems to ensure 365 processing on site.
Leadership in driving & embedding GPS strategy, culture, philosophies, tools & techniques across the site with functional leads
Manage & implement a 3M / Business Review framework in Belview, assess effectiveness & drive improvements.
Produce weekly and monthly production KPIs ensuring delivery in OEE, RFT and other key production metrics
Technical projects as determined by the production manager

Key Requirements
Third level qualification in a Science, Food, Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline
Minimum of 5 years Management experience in the Food, Pharmaceutical or Beverage manufacturing sector with experience in manufacture of products used in sensitive or specialist customer applications an advantage
