Job Overview:
We are hiring multiple entry-level front-end web developers to join our team and assist in building new web pages and improving our company website. The ideal candidates will be proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, and have a basic understanding of web development best practices. You will work closely with our web designers and stakeholders to create visually appealing and user-friendly websites.
Responsibilities:
As a front-end web developer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Writing well-designed, testable, and efficient code using web development best practices
- Creating basic website layouts and user interfaces using HTML and CSS
- Integrating data from various back-end web services and databases
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and refine specifications and requirements
- Creating and maintaining software documentation
- Ensuring cross-browser compatibility of new features
- Assisting in the maintenance, expansion, and scaling of our company website
- Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends and applying them to operations and activities
- Collaborating with web designers to bring visual design concepts to life
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets:
To be considered for this entry-level position, you should possess the following qualifications and skill sets:
- Fundamentals of web development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Basic understanding of front-end JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular
- Familiarity with back-end frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Node.js, or ASP.NET
- Knowledge of content management systems (CMSs) such as WordPress, Joomla, or Squarespace
- Experience with UI/UX design principles
- Working knowledge of graphic design
- Understanding of REST API development
- Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL
- Knowledge of Agile and test-driven development best practices
