Respected and successful Pediatric Practice in Beaufort, S.C. is looking for the right person due to the retirement of the senior partner. Position is available beginning in December, but can be held until spring or summer.Beaufort Pediatrics averages 32,000 visits a year and has a record of strong community involvement for over 25 years. There are 4 full time Pediatricians, 2 1/2 time Pediatricians and one PNP with a staff of 18 including 8 nurses.Average patients per day per doctor is 26-30.
! The office is located directly across the street from the 300 ! bed community hospital (Beaufort Memorial Hospital) allowing rapid and easy access to the ER, Ward, Nursery, and Labor and Delivery. Call is every 5-6 nights with a nurse triage service that handles 90% of after hour calls.The Lowcountry area of South Carolina is known as being relaxed and friendly. A mild climate is inducive to outdoor sports with nearby beaches, river and ocean sports, and state parks. The city of Beaufort is progressive with a beautiful downtown and water front park with bike trails and "people friendly" scale.Beaufort Memorial Hospital is fully supportive, though the practice is owned by the partners.
The hospital has a recently renovated nursery, Level 2, new ER, and excellent nursing support. Tertiary care is one hour away at the MUSC in Charleston, with all Pediatric Subspecialties represented at the Children's Hospital.The doctors in the practice are unusually harmonious and enjoy working together. The atmosphere is one of family, support, ! hard work with pay that is at the national average but with an excellent life style.Beaufort Pediatrics is looking for a candidate who is Board Certified or Board Eligible who enjoys taking care of children and relishes the variety and excitement of an active community oriented general pediatric practice and is secure in their ability over a wide range of Pediatric issues including newborn, preschool, school age, and adolescent care.Salary is $135,000 starting guarantee or production based with potential to $155,000. Partnership for the right person is available within 2 years .
CME, health insurance, retirement, disability, and malpractice premiums are covered by the practice.
