Job Title: RN-Pediatric Telephone TriageDepartment Name: Pediatric TelephoneLocation: Greenville Hospital SystemFull/Part T! ime: PRN/FloatpoolShift: Evenings, nights, holidaysMinimum Hourly Base Rate: 23.05Job Number: 2013-3081 Job Description: Provides clinical direction to patients and families calling with perceived questions/problems regarding pediatric patients. Demonstrates clinical competency utilizing evidence based practices/research in all areas of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and outcomes. Incorporates knowledge of safety protocols, cost containment and quality improvement throughout the nursing process. Identifies patient, unit, and organizational priorities and incorporates these priorities into the nursing process.
Adheres to all compliance and policy/procedures of the organization including, but not limited to: licensure renewal, assigned training, employee health screenings, time and attendance policy, dress code policy, patient confidentiality, infection control. Demonstrates knowledge of regulatory agency requirements (JCAHO, DH! EC, CMS). Telephone triage setting requires staff to be schedu! led for a significant amount of shift, weekend, holiday hours. Required to work one shift per week in the Children's Emergency Center.
Job Qualifications: Associates degree in Nursing (ADN), 3 years experience in Pediatric and/or ER required.
