Job Title: Unit Secretary IIDepartment Name: Icu PediatricsLocation: Greenville Memorial HospitalFull/Part Time: Ful! l-timeShift: 7p-7a and everyother weekendMinimum Hourly Base Rate: 11.19Job Number: 2013-2189 Job Description: Multi-function job requires incumbents to be cross-trained to perform Unit Secretary duties as well as at least one other clinical support job at least 30% of time in each role. Cross training may be in jobs such as Patient Care Technician, Nursing Specialty Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, and Monitor Technician. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, performs receptionist and patient care clerical duties as required for a Unit Secretary. Additional functions performed under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse may include one or more of the following duties: observing cardiac monitors to identify abnormal heart rhythms; data collection related to patient status; performance of basic nursing procedures, monitoring, measuring and documentation of patient responses; performing and/or assisting with treatments and procedures; assists with maintena! nce of patient care equipment.
Job Qualifications:! Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. In addition, must have Unit Secretary training and one or more of the following : Arrhythmia Certification; a formal PCT training program; EMT certification, or Certified Nursing Assistant. Job related course work beyond high school. CNA required for PCT's; CNA required for Nursing Assistants; Arrhythmia Certification required for Monitor Technician.
Must have basic keyboard knowledge and medical terminology. Applicants will need to successfully pass the arrythmia test prior as part of the interview process.Keyword Search: Unit Secretary
