Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), graduation from an accredited school of nursing and accredited school of anesthesia. Active participation in educational program. Experience: Graduate of a certified AANA council on anesthesia training program Number and Type of Employees Supervised: SRNA's enrolled in USC school of medicine/ Nurse Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: RN and official recognition in SC and current certification with American Association of Nurse Anesthetist (AANA) Special Training: Must possess skills necessary to treat patients of all ages to include infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. AANA continuing education programs acquiring 40 CEU's every two years.
