What does it mean to be a Vessel IoT Operations Engineer at ZeroNorth?
We are currently looking for a senior electrical engineer, with extensive experience as Software Development Projects Manager, R&D Projects Manager, IoT Operational Processes owner, auditor, and reporter. Exposure to and experience in the Maritime sector is highly desirable.
You will
- Monitor and report progress of research and development projects.
- Stay up to date with new regulations and standards related to product development in Maritime Digitalisation Sector.
- Organise and monitor the operation of company’s IoT solution.
- Organise and automate the procedures for execution of the IoT projects, ensuring the scalability of the solution.
- Be responsible for all financial and reporting aspects of funded R&D projects.
- Organise the training material and the documentations regarding the IoT solutions.
- Be responsible for auditing of internal process execution as per established standards, company policies and guidelines related to IoT solution.
- Support business control, management reporting and local office administration.
Your profile
Your expertise in business control, ISO certification, Project Management, business reporting and software and electronics engineering is complemented by more than 5 years of real-world experience, preferably in the Maritime sector. You have managed IT product development, streamlined and certified internal processes.
We expect that you will
- Implement progress monitoring for local development teams.
- Organise the configuration and software update centralised mechanism for IoT and EDGE computing systems on board the vessels.
- Contribute to the architectural layout of the IoT and EDGE systems according to specifications of each project and vessel.
- Organise and develop the training material and documentation for the IoT solution
- Support coordination of research and development projects, monitor progress and report on KPIs, proactively simplifying and optimising internal procedures related to IoT solution
- Provide the local management team with assistance in all administrative matters
Fluency in written and spoken English is required and some travel is expected.
