Pediatrix Medical Group has an exciting opportunity for a pediatric intensivist to join our practice at McLeod Children’s Hospital, part of McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence,! South Carolina. This position provides the best of both worlds; patient care and the chance to share your knowledge and experience with residents. Opportunities for teaching include lectures and bedside teaching for residents and medical students of University of South Carolina.
The hospital has a six-bed PICU and the services provided include sedation along with air and ground transport. As one of our intensivists, your responsibilities will include admissions and management of patients in the PICU, consultations with families and referring physicians. The pediatric intensivists provide out-of-house call and have a flexible call schedule, allowing for a satisfying work/life balance.
