Job Summary:
This job performs various duties related to the operation of the Neurodiagnost! ics department including technical, clerical and some administrative functions.

Responsibilities:
Performs high quality EEGs including asleep/awake studies, brain death, photo-stimulation and portable EEGs.
Handles clerical functions in department, i.e. cards, folders, filing, typing, mailing and charting reports, scheduling patients.
Interacts with physicians and other hospital personnel and assists with the training of new technicians.
Basic understanding of interpretation of EEGs.
Communicates department needs to director and handles administrative paperwork, i.e. time sheets, AP reports, call schedule, supply orders.
Participates in department meetings and in-services.
Takes call on a rotating basis.
Requirements:
E! ducation: High school diploma plus 1 year of specialized t! raining; prefer graduate of an accredited EEG program
Experience: 1-3 years
Number and Type of Employees Supervised: None
License, Registry, or Certification Required: Registry eligible in ABRET and ASATS
Special Training: Type 35 wpm; medical terminology; must posses skills necessary to treat patients of all ages to include infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients
