Acute hospital is looking for a highly motivated and energetic sp! eech therapist to join the team in their acute care unit. Candidates must be willing to support a friendly, positive and professional environment.
Additional Requirements/Information:
" Interested candidates must have 1 year of experience
" Candidates must be currently licensed or eligible for licensure as an SLP and/or registered as a speech therapist per state requirements.
Speech/language pathologists work with patients who are suffering from, or are prone to, disorders related to speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency. In order to address patientsâ needs, the speech/language pathologist develops individualized plans that take into account the patientâs needs, progress, and eventual discharge plans. They may also work in a number of specialties, including:
Acute
Home health
Long-term care
Outpatient
Pediatric
Psychiatry
Rehabilitation
School
Required Qualifica! tions
Must have Acute Care Hospital experience - (not! just Rehab Hospital)
Must have experience w/ trachs and vents
Preferred Qualifications
Video Swallow studies/Modified Barium experience preferred
