Description

:

Employee is responsible for serving as a clinical resource, educator and consultant to the health care staff in developing & implementing the plan of care for East Cooper Regional Medical Center patients with specific disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary and intergumentary systems, including ostomies, fistulae, tubes, dermal wounds, & incontinence. The WOC nurse can expect to care for patients of all ages including newborns, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, & geriatrics although he/she will primarily deal with the adult and geriatric patient.

Qualifications

:

Education/Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
• Current R. N. License and in good standing with South Carolina State Board of Nursing.
• Graduate from an accredited Wound, Ostomy & Continence Program.
• Certification by Wound, Ostomy &Continence Board is preferred.
• Must have at least five years nursing experience.
